1 Apr 2010 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, I think we are now engaging in hypothesis. You ruled on how the amendments should be conducted. We have conducted all the amendments. You also ruled on how the debate will proceed from here. We ought to proceed to approve or not approve in accordance with Section 33(4) of the Constitution of Kenya Review Act. The word âapproveâ means in the manner the National Assembly approves. The only way we approve something is by a vote. That would be guided by Standing Orders. It is by simple majority. 30 Mar 2010 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, I am appalled by the answer that the Minister has given which is not factual. Criminal Miscellaneous Criminal Case No.45 of 2005 was not an intention to prosecute but an actual private prosecution where a plea was taken. The Ministries concerned, one of them being the Ministry of State for Home Affairs, actually interdicted a Ms. Nyambura Mugure Weru vide letter dated 27th, January, 2005 which I wish to lay on the Table. The current chairman of Harambee SACCO, Mr. Maclaud Malonza was similarly interdicted by the Office of the President on 20th January, 2005. Is it ...
