It is very good for us to recognize and appreciate that the Bill is in the House to be discussed so that we can do the needful amendments to it. This Bill will be useful to Kenyans. view
  • 26 Sep 2018 in Senate: Madam Temporary Speaker, on the issues that will be discussed in this Bill, it is important that the issues be resolved before the Bill is voted on. I am saying this because this Bill touches on land which belongs to the community from where most of the conflicts occur. view

We need to decentralise all the powers that are contemplated in this Bill from the central level where the Cabinet Secretaries and all those managerial levels are mentioned, to the common citizen who has the land in the community and is able to utilise what is in his or her land. view

It is high time that the Kenyan Senate makes appropriate resolutions on this Bill and on any other resource that will be discovered so that both the community and the nation can benefit. view
