On a point of order, Madam Temporary Speaker. We were expecting to discuss the Ruaraka Land Report, but I do not see it on the Order Paper.

Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir,for giving me this opportunity to condole with the families. I support the Statement on the tragedy that befell our children. Mr. Speaker, Sir, my first Statement in this House was with regard to traffic rules. Many of our drives flout these rules with impunity. I remember the tragedy along the Nakuru–Eldoret Highway. We discussed it at length. I hope even with this tragedy, something will be done. Mr. Speaker, Sir, it is painful to lose 10 children. Every life is precious. I saw parents collapsing when they saw the lifeless bodies of their beloved ones ...

Thank you much, Madam Temporary Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to add my voice to this Motion. I would like to start by applauding the Committee, led by Sen. Mutula Kilonzo Jnr., for the diligent work done and for the dedication they had to accomplish this giant task. Madam Temporary Speaker, this report, in itself, is an initial step taken towards justice for the people and victims of the tragedy. It is unfortunate that I am speaking today on the tragedy that happened in Solai on the same date when the US Embassy bomb blast tragedy happened in this ...

Thank you so much, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, for giving me this opportunity to contribute to the statement on the registration of schools in Bomet County. The registration of schools should not only be tailored to Bomet County, but rather across the country. This is because it is a need that is time-bound. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, the education sector mission is to promote inclusive and equitable quality education. It cannot be achieved without enabling people to know the number of schools that we have in a particular county in this nation. It is, therefore, important for us to team ...

Thank you very much, Madam Temporary Speaker. I rise to support the Statement. It is unfortunate that we are talking about Malaria in Kenya 55 years after Independence. Many people have invested in this programme, especially those who are partnering with the Ministry of Health. It is important that we look into this issue, especially those programmes that are funded by partners from the Western countries. Madam Temporary Speaker, it is important that the KEMSA branches in counties be equipped with these drugs so that we avoid deaths as a result of Malaria. It is important that we eradicate Malaria ...

Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, for giving me this opportunity to support this Bill. I applaud the Senator of Busia County, Sen. Amos Wako, for coming up with this Bill; a bill that is long awaited. I support this Bill because it realises the importance of values of our people and what is needed during this devolution era. The Bill comes when most of our people in different constituencies or counties are really struggling with how to implement various projects and programmes that are defined with millions of money. This Bill will enable our people in counties to standardise ...

Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for giving me the opportunity to support the Statement. The mismanagement of health facilities and, especially services, is rampant in this country. I wonder if any evaluation vis-à-vis specific health service needs in the healthcare sector is ever done, specifically with regard to all the requirements and estimates being done at the national level. Mr. Speaker, Sir, it is sad to see the challenges the country is facing in terms of health services. Being a Member of the Committee on Health, I look forward to sit with other Members of this House to discuss these ...

Mr. Speaker, Sir, thank you for giving me this opportunity to support the two statements that have been brought here by the two Senators. As other Senators have said, the local sugar industry has been hit hard by corruption, mismanagement and a coalition of cartels composed of barons who are bringing down the sugar industry. I come from an area where sugarcane is a cash crop. The farmers and the community in general in the county depend on this crop for their livelihood. Therefore, it is very sad to see that avenues have been opened in Kenya to bring in ...

Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker. I rise to support this Motion. It will be a historical for us to have our sittings outside Nairobi. Our sitting outside is not about the people, but it is all about the decisions and the policies which we will debate while there. Our county governments are very young. They have been in existence for the last six years. Therefore, it is very important that we strengthen them. When they come into reality with what we are doing and discussing here, then it will help them grow fast and adopt the agenda in their various ...
