  • 25 Apr 2019 in National Assembly: In the constituency I represent, the dream of everybody is to acquire a home. Every time one gets a good job or does business, the focus is always to own a home. If people can be educated enough, it is a good thing and we need to take advantage of it. We should not allow it to flop. On manufacturing, I am quite excited because in most of the constituencies, we have Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions including mine. If we continue to embrace this and tell our youths that it is not only the white collar job ... view
  • 25 Apr 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you very much. On corruption, we keep on saying that we are being fought or our communities are being fought. Let us believe in the value system of the society. Let us have a value-based and principled society where ethics matter. The moment we find that what is right is right and what is correct is correct, Kenya will be a great nation to live in. If we do not do the right thing at the right time and we justify corruption and try to hide, it will surprise us that there will be nothing left for the next ... view
  • 8 Aug 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I rise to support the Motion by Hon. Women are called the weaker sex because they shout more. view

During the post-election violence many women suffered. They suffer more because they do not have jobs. In my constituency, there are many youths who do not have jobs and they could be assisted in these centres. Culture, with regard to violence, has really affected us. In some communities, when such violence happens they hide it, but when we have these centres in place it will be possible to ensure that victims of violence are ... view

  • 5 Dec 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I support the Building Surveyors Bill, 2017. Building surveyors are barely recognized. They cover a wide range starting with design, construction, maintenance, repair and the general supervision. In most urban areas or cities, people just construct buildings. Other than Government buildings, any other common citizen who is constructing a building is not aware of building surveyors. When the board is in place, the profession will be made known to the public. This will reduce incidents of buildings collapsing. Buildings collapse because proper measures are not put in place. If we provide that for any ... view
