  • 5 Dec 2023 in Senate: Khalwale, what would be said of Sen. Methu when he was a Member of Parliament (MP) in this House? What would be written about me when I am not a Member of this Senate, retired from politics and met my maker? I will not live forever on this earth. What will be said about the man, Sen. Methu? Therefore, I send my condolences to the family of the late Hon. Lawrence Sifuna, my brother, Sen. Sifuna and all of you. Please, may God comfort you and your family. May the spirit of this great man rest in peace. view

  • 29 Nov 2023 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, as you drop that Statement, I have been consulting with the Clerks-at-the-Table. I know Sen. Crystal Asige has been seeking to be sent the Statement to read on behalf of Sen. Sifuna, and it has not been sent to her. Since I came in this afternoon, she sent me to come and ask this secretariat to send it to her, yet it has not been sent. It was not fair to drop it because someone was standing in for Sen. Sifuna, only that the Statement has not been sent to her to read. view

  • 29 Nov 2023 in Senate: Thank you very much, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. I do not want to take much of your time, as I know many Senators want to contribute to this Motion. I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.101 (4) on imputing improper motives on your colleagues. I know Hon. Sen. Mungatana is worked up because they committed a lot of their time and energy trying to look into this issue. However, as it is in the rules of debate, we must be tolerant with each other. You must tolerate my thoughts and my thinking. That is the reason why this report has ... view

  • 29 Nov 2023 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, you must then also find him out of order to impute that Sen. Orwoba does not have content. He actually said, that “if you do not have content, sit down and allow the other Senators to contribute.” You must find the Chairperson of the Select Committee, Sen. Mungatana, out of order. He must withdraw, apologize and take his time. view
  • 16 Nov 2023 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I also want to make reference to the same Standing Order that has been referred to by Sen. Sifuna on matters sub judice . Standing Order No.103(2) states- view
