  • 25 Oct 2022 in Senate: A gardener serving in your garden for five to ten years cannot be rewarded with Kshs200,000. It should be more than that. The former councillors are not asking much. They just want Kshs200,000. As we discuss this matter here, we need to ask our brothers to be magnanimous enough. Now that the money was set aside, they should have it in budgets, so that this matter is dispensed with, once and for all. Those were public servants that served our country. During those days, we used to have councillors, Members of Parliament (MP) and the President. They used to deal ... view
  • 18 Oct 2022 in Senate: Thank you very much, Madam Temporary Speaker. I rise to support the Motion on the Committees that have been proposed by the Senate Majority Leader. I am very grateful that my party has nominated me to serve in the County Public Accounts Committee. In the same spirit, I wish my brother, Senator for Migori County, the best as he seeks to serve as the Chairperson of the County Public Investment and Special Funds Committee. I resigned from being a member of staff for the Nyandarua County Assembly and because I worked so diligently, I am now a Senator. The sky is not the limit for you. You will be Senators and governors if you work diligently. Thank you very much. view

  • 13 Oct 2022 in Senate: My apologies. I sympathize with the Senator for Nyamira County and Sen. Mwaruma. I urge them to be a little patient because they are seasoned Senators of this House and there are bigger things on the way. Sen. Omogeni is a two-term Senator and will probably be a Commissioner in the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC). I do not see him being challenged. view
  • 13 Oct 2022 in Senate: In the very unlikely event that he does not get it, I am sure the Senator for Kisumu County (Sen. (Prof.) Tom Ojienda, SC, will get it because he has been a Commissioner in the past. In the same breath, I would like to remind my good brother, Sen. Olekina, that as he celebrates today because he snatched something from somebody, tomorrow something shall be snatched from him, and he shall--- view
