Millie first thought about becoming Mbita MP at age 13. The graduate of University of Nairobi School of Law has worked as a lawyer and women and children rights activist. The CRADLE is one of the MP’s dream come true. She founded the organization that promotes the rights of children since 1997. Millie has received the YWCA Democracy Award and the Eve woman of the year for human rights and gender. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I am entitled to blow the whistle, especially on the Leader of Majority Party. Is the Leader of Majority Party in order to mislead the House on constitutional provisions? The Constitution is very clear that everybody has a right to a day of worship. Unless, the Constitution itself is mischievous, there is nothing in this amendment that is mischievous or misleading.

Yes, I wish to move a further amendment to my amendment. We delete the word “Friday” on my amendment to read “Thursday”, so that SDAs do not have to violate their religion and Friday, so that Muslims will not violate their religion. I am happy I have been educated because the only people I know to be strict observers are the SDAs.

Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. Can the Member please withdraw and apologise for implying that some members of ODM are not sober. I am a teetotaller. I may be very lethal but I am a teetotaller. I am absolutely 100 per cent sober when I do anything and everything I do in this House. So, can she please withdraw and apologise?
