• 24 Feb 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I rise to oppose the amendment. The reason I want to oppose is not because of the substance, but the process. Whereas the proposed amendments are very good especially in ensuring transition and that the youth will get employment, my worry is that we are having a very lazy side of the Executive. This is something that would ordinarily have come by way of amendment, either by the Leader of the Majority Party or a Committee. I missed your earlier rider about clauses that will convert this Bill to one that concerns county governments. I do not know if this clause relates to that. But in terms of its content in that it ensures that children are better protected, I support it. I just wanted to find out whether this is one of the clauses that you had earlier spoken about. view

Therefore, I am agreeable to including “assisted reproductive technology” as opposed to IVF which is only one element of assisted reproductive technology. view
