Millie first thought about becoming Mbita MP at age 13. The graduate of University of Nairobi School of Law has worked as a lawyer and women and children rights activist. The CRADLE is one of the MP’s dream come true. She founded the organization that promotes the rights of children since 1997. Millie has received the YWCA Democracy Award and the Eve woman of the year for human rights and gender. Her political tipping point came when she served as a delegate at the Bomas of Kenya, during the constitutional drafting process. ODM party nominated her to Parliament 2008 and she clinched the Mbita seat in the 2013 election.

I would like to request that when you retreat as the Speaker’s Panel, kindly look at the procedure of voting on a Presidential Memorandum; that is, when the President refers matters back to Parliament. The reason I am saying that is because if it is about you visually determining that there are no numbers, then there is really no reason why you should put the Question. It should be automatic. So, you need---
