There was a tragedy in my constituency yesterday evening. A number of people were traveling from Homa Bay Town by boat. The weather was bad and the boat capsized. Two people have already been confirmed dead and nine are missing. Because they were missing overnight, it is presumed that they are most likely dead. My constituency is likely to have lost 11 people. • 22 Sep 2021 in National Assembly: me take this opportunity to send my condolences to the people of Nduru, Lambwe and Suba North in general. However, in a very special way, the reason why I am raising this point of order is because tragedies do not respect orders. I will later be raising a more substantive issue. I request the Government to assist. I know there are people who are already helping with the rescue.
