11 Nov 2009 in National Assembly:
No! I have no much time. I just want to finish my few minutes. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, therefore they must fight. One country where impunity is happening is in Somalia. The African Union (AU) troops are in Somalia. In Somalia, they do not have the mandate. The mandate they have is so limited and I would be glad if the membership of Kenya takes this issue up because Somalia is affecting our economy and security. I do not think it is affecting South Africa or any other country. We should be the ones in the forefront to see ...

11 Nov 2009 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, for giving me this opportunity to support this very important policy statement. I would like to suggest to the Assistant Minister to see to it that he has a session with the Departmental Committee on Equal Opportunities â it is a fairly new Committee â so that we can inform this Sessional Paper before a Bill is brought to Parliament. It is important that they interact with the senior citizens of this country so that when the Bill eventually comes to this House it is one that reflects the needs of the beneficiaries ...

Must they wait to generate the requests from leaders or is it a Government policy to sub-divide when they realize there is need to divide?

1 Sep 2009 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, I thank the Minister for the answer that he has given to the House. It looks like the Government has discarded that arrangement after two years, and started a new process again, which means, therefore, that the project will delay further. I would like to ask the Minister, first of all, to table the feasibility study done and

Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to thank the Minister. Mr. Minister, now that you have involved the leadership in Lamu, what plans does the Ministry have to involve the entire leadership along the site where the project is going to be undertaken?
