I think this House should grant the amounts requested. My assessment is that this money is not even enough. So, we want to encourage the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance to factor more funds for this Ministry in the Supplementary Estimates. This is a very critical Ministry for this Government and country. view
  • 6 Aug 2009 in National Assembly: I just want to speak briefly on the development of airports, particularly infrastructural developments of airstrips and airports in Mombasa, Eldoret and Wajir. I have a particular interest in the Wajir airport that was opened to civilian use in 2006. There were a lot of celebrations when this was done. But to date, that facility is not fully utilized. It has a huge potential, not only for the people of that region, but for this country. I have been to Eldoret and I know air traffic in Eldoret is picking.
