  • 3 Oct 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I can only reiterate what I said earlier on; that the Minister for Lands will visit Molo to corroborate what has already been stated. If he finds out that, indeed, the land has been grabbed, then it will be repossessed. I do not think there is necessity for the people of Molo to do that. The Minister himself will do it. view
  • 3 Oct 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I will collect the HANSARD, photocopy and circulate it to various Ministries with instructions that from now on they must start the exercise of repossession of any land within their Ministries, which was grabbed by land grabbers. view
  • 3 Oct 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, the HANSARD will bear me out. I have already answered that question. I do not know why I should repeat my answer again. view
  • 2 Oct 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I will once again speak to the Minister concerned. I think in the initial stages, there was a misconception; because of my own interest in the persons with disabilities, the matter was directed to me. However, there is a special Ministry, and I will speak to the Minister and insist that he operationalises the regulations and brings a statement here. Thank you. view
  • 26 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, may I seek your indulgence and move on to the next Question in the hope that the Minister or his Assistant will be here by the time we finish the others. view
  • 26 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, on behalf of the Minister for Tourism and Wildlife, I beg to reply. (a) I am aware that baboons destroyed the roof of Flamingo Primary School thus occasioning damage to the ceiling. (b) I am also aware that monkeys, and not tigers, have been destroying crops in the Mwariki/Barut area. As we know, Kenya has no tigers. (c) Kenya Wildlife Service has completed the reconstruction of the roof covering four classrooms at Flamingo Primary School at the cost of Kshs973,470. Under the current Wildlife Conservation and Management Law, Cap.376, there is no compensation for crops and ... view
  • 26 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the amount of money that we had could only manage the repair of the roof. I will ensure that the Minister allocates money in his budget to repair the ceiling. view
  • 26 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, when God created this earth, he created man, woman and wildlife. He gave the human being intelligence to co-exist with wildlife. It is, therefore, necessary for us to learn conflict resolution between human beings and wildlife. view
  • 26 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, we appreciate the good work that the farmers do to ensure that there is food security. As a result, we intend to increase the number of game wardens to ensure that, at all times, they push the primates away from the crops of the farmers. view
  • 26 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, this is a Government that respects life. It does not accept that animals should be used for experiments. It, therefore, will not export monkeys for other countries to carry out experiments on them. view
