  • 24 Jul 2007 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, let me also take this opportunity to support this Vote. First, I want to thank the Minister in charge of this Ministry, Mr. Nyachae, for the good work he is doing. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, as you are aware, we have placed all our employees on performance contracts. Under this programme, work is programmed in such a way that each person has to achieve certain targets. I want to state in this House that employees in the Ministry of Roads and Public Works are doing a good job. In, at least, every district countrywide, ... view

Could he give documentary evidence to support this allegation? If he does not have documentary evidence, I think serious action should be taken against him by this House, because we do not need to tell lies here! Is he in order! view
  • 10 May 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I May 10, 2007 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES 1261 asked: "Why should an hon. Member come and tell something which is completely different?" view
  • 10 May 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I withdraw the word, but let the hon. Member substantiate his remark! view
  • 10 May 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I have asked the hon. Member to provide documentary evidence to support his claim. This is because we cannot allow anyone to come up with allegations which are baseless! view
  • 5 Apr 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I welcome this opportunity to respond to hon. Ojode's concern about the national diversity in the Public Service within the context of the Government's Public Service Reforms and Development Agenda. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, you will recall that when this matter was raised in this House, I promised to look into the issue and report back. In the year 2003, through the Economic Recovery Strategy for Wealth and Employment Creation, the Government recognised the importance of undertaking comprehensive, cohesive, integrated and sequential Public Service Reform and Development Programme.
