Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir and hon. Senators. The Ministry of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management appreciates the role of the Senate in terms of providing oversight, which ultimately makes us better public servants. 1 Nov 2023 in Senate:
Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir and the Senator for Nyeri County. Indeed, we have pronounced ourselves on the new direction for the NYS. The re-engineering agenda for the NYS, which we are undertaking, is premised on four key pillars. The first pillar is the paramilitary training and regimentation. This is important because we have to impact our young people with the right social and patriotic wiring so that they become good citizens capable of driving the country forward. Currently, we have 10,000 service men and women serving under the paramilitary service within the National Youth Service. By the end ...

1 Nov 2023 in Senate:
Government basis with other state corporations, county governments, national Government, CDF and international companies. The issue of youth unemployment is urgent. This is the biggest threat we have to our security and long-term prosperity as a country. Nonetheless, NYS will not be the only catalyst, but the major one in solving the problem of youth unemployment. I submit.

1 Nov 2023 in Senate:
