Sitting here even though we have that big stature of being Senators, we should not be bigger than the people we represent. many of you might not recognize her. She was first elected to Parliament in 1997 as the Member for Dagoretti South Constituency. The point I was trying to make to the girls before the Senator for Wajir exhibited his abilities, is that Beth Mugo was the Assistant Minister for Education around the time free primary education that we enjoy today and which we think can be improved upon, was introduced.

Ladies from Maliku girls, it is possible for you to be great leaders in this Republic. You have strong role models. A few days ago, we visited Silicon Valley. The challenge was why is it that we do not have a lot of female leaders at Silicon Valley? There were two issues. One was lack of role models and the other was the fact that girls were not being encouraged to study science and technology related courses.
