He was the Bungoma Senator (2013 - 2022; Leader of Minority in the Senate (2013 - 2017)
By virtue of his position as co-principal in NASA he was retained as Minority Leader in the 12th Parliament but later replaced by his Siaya counterpart after 19 senators who attended Nasa's Parliamentary Group meeting at Parliament Buildings in Nairobi unanimously voted to replace him with Senator James Orengo on 15th March, 2018.

Lastly, the Committee must also tell us how much this process will cost, who budgeted for it, who approved the budget, who recruited the supplier of the service and where they are going to apply this service to Kenyans because Huduma Centres, as they are now describing them, are not available in every corner of the counties to give Kenyans the number that they now say will be predicated on access to public services.

Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I cannot resist making a comment on this. I thank the distinguished young Senator for Nandi County, a lawyer in his own right, for raising that issue. The Chief Justice is not just a Chief Justice, but he is the President of the Supreme Court. A month ago, we saw the Chief Justice being read the riot act in a public meeting in Bomas of Kenya, and he struggled to defend himself and the institution, and he did it rather clumsily.
