Moses Masika Wetangula

Speaker of the National Assembly in the 13th Parliament.

He was the Bungoma Senator (2013 - 2022; Leader of Minority in the Senate (2013 - 2017)

By virtue of his position as co-principal in NASA he was retained as Minority Leader in the 12th Parliament but later replaced by his Siaya counterpart after 19 senators who attended Nasa's Parliamentary Group meeting at Parliament Buildings in Nairobi unanimously voted to replace him with Senator James Orengo on 15th March, 2018.

If anything, we have been depleting forests everywhere; Mount Elgon, Aberdares, Mau Forest, Embobut and so forth. You remember my distinguished colleague and friend was evicted from the forest. view

I stand guided and informed by the Vice Chair of the Committee and if there were double entries and this is an editorial; in law we say res ipsaloquitur meaning things speak for themselves. They should have said so, so that we do not belabor points that are not relevant. So, in future, I believe this can be clearer than it is. Kiraitu and he says “yes”, second one “noes” and we go round and finish quickly? We used to vote like that in the “garage”. We can do it here. view
