• 2 Jun 2020 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, I will use three minutes or less. I would like to congratulate Sen. (Prof.) Kamar, for this momentous election as a Deputy Speaker of this House. I will not repeat what other Members have said, but it is an opportunity for you and the Speaker to get the bearings of this Senate back to where it was. Murkomen, he read the Constitution and left out some sections which he should have read so that he can educate us as to what he means in terms of fair administrative action. For the record, Article 47 (3) which Sen. Murkomen, obviously, did not want to read states as follows for the avoidance of doubt: view
• 22 May 2020 in Senate: “Parliament shall enact legislation to give effect to the rights in clause (1) and the legislation shall- (a) provide for the review of administrative action by a court or, if appropriate in independent impartial tribunal; and (b) promote efficient administration.” In support of that objection which is not even an objection, the Senator for Elgeyo-Marakwet should, first of all, demonstrate that we are sitting in a court.
