  • 21 Oct 2021 in Senate: Before I proceed with the Statement, allow me to highlight that there are seven Bills scheduled in today’s Supplementary Order Paper from Orders 9 to 15 which are pending Division at the Second Reading stage. Following consultations between the Senate Majority and Minority, we propose that the Bills proceed to the Committee of the Whole after passing the Second Reading stage. As such, the Supplementary Order Paper has been prepared to provide for the same. view

However, there still remains a high number of Petitions pending conclusion. I urge respective Standing Committees to use the coming recess period to consider and table reports on all outstanding Petitions as required under Standing Order No. 232(2).
