  • 2 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: the lives of its people, that it is dragging its feet even today when it comes to the resettlement of the IDPs. We can try to blame the Ministers who have served in this capacity. However, we have not even been able to identify which Ministry we can blame. On one hand we are saying that the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security has a role to play on resettling the IDPs--- We also have an issue to do with the Minister for Lands and the Ministry of State for Special Programmes. None of them has express ... view
  • 2 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, in conclusion, I would like the Government to fully compensate those who lost their properties and ensure that those people who were traumatised live a happy life again. The only way by which we can ensure this is to avail enough resources to the Ministry of State for Special Programmes and facilitate those who are concerned to ensure that, in the remaining few months, we give comfort to those who suffered. We should equally ensure that Government systems are put in place, so that we do not ever again hear of anything related to post-election ... view
  • 28 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: Thank you, Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady. I rise to support although my contribution is opposing. view
  • 28 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I find myself in a very strange situation because at the end of the day, we are not sincere. One, we all belong to these parties but we do not look at our background before we joined those parties. What were the agreements when we joined these parties? We cannot come here and pretend that there was anything that was laid down properly by the Registrar so that we can abide by the rules and conditions laid down by those parties. Anybody pretending that these parties are democratic is misleading. I would have said a “liar” ... view
  • 28 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I talked about sincerity. You know that hon. C. Kilonzo just came back to Wiper the other day and he has never been loyal to that party. He has been on record opposing his party leader in the House and out there in the full glare of the cameras. Is he in order, first of all, to raise that order? view
  • 28 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I do not wish to respond to hon. Shebesh because she has always been trying to woo me to her party which I cannot be accommodated. She is reloaded now because her party is already a shell. That is why they are reloading it. view
  • 28 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, for sure, you know that they have provoked me when I was only exercising my democratic right. We need to look at facts and figures before we come here to propose amendments. If it were not for His Excellency the President, I would have opposed this amendment. I support. view
  • 26 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I also stand to support this Bill on the establishment of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC). Noting that I am also a teacher by profession, I think this is one of the good things that will happen to the profession. It is equally important that we will establish this independent Commission; we will bring the right things first. Today, we have already placed the horse before the cart by the fact that we have already addressed ourselves to issues concerning and affecting primary schools teachers and high school teachers, but we have forgotten that the foundation of ... view
  • 26 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: With those few remarks, I beg to support. view
  • 20 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, you have already stated clearly that you will make a ruling on the issue tomorrow. Therefore, there is no use of anticipating debate or acting as if you know the ruling that you will make tomorrow. view
