  • 8 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: asked the Minister of State for Special Programmes:- (a) whether she is aware that most farmers in Kieni experienced a huge crop loss due to frost; and, (b) what measures the Ministry has undertaken to cushion the farmers from famine. view
  • 8 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. When I filed this Question, the crops in Kieni had been destroyed by frost and we thought that the answer would have come a little bit faster. However, I want the Assistant Minister to tell me, if it happens again whether he will give us more than he has been giving us in Kieni because quite a number of farmers are or were affected. view
  • 8 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, my constituency consists of 17 colonial villages. Although we are constructing some irrigation reservoirs we still need food from the Ministry. The Ministry normally gives us about 500 bags. I am asking him whether he can increase that to 3,000 or 4,000 bags of maize. view
  • 8 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. The Ministry of Energy normally communicates to all Members of Parliament when they want to send money to our constituencies. I want to know whether the Ministry of Roads also does the same because when money is sent to our constituencies and we are not aware, we are still the ones who are asked questions by constituents when there are problems. view
  • 17 May 2012 in National Assembly: asked the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security:- view
  • 17 May 2012 in National Assembly: (a) whether he is aware that Kieni East District residents, after a series of meetings, agreed to move the district headquarters from Chaka to Naromoru; view
  • 17 May 2012 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, it will take only 30 seconds to finish. (b) why the gazettement of the new headquarters has taken long, hence fueling tension among residents; and, (c) when the funds to construct the new headquarters will be released. view
  • 17 May 2012 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I thank the Assistant Minister for giving that answer. If he had actually requested proof of availability of land for the construction of the new district headquarters, he would have got it. I promise him that we are going to give him the necessary documents from the Ministry of Lands. Why did it take all that long to tell us what he requires, so that he can do his work? view
  • 17 May 2012 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I want the Assistant Minister to tell us; if I deliver the documents tomorrow - because I am going to call somebody tonight – could he promise that he will start doing his work on Monday? view
  • 26 Apr 2012 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Lands:- (a) whether he is aware that Plot No. L.R. 1246/1/3/R measuring 285 acres in Narumoru/Thegu Location owned by the Agricultural Mechanization Service in the Ministry of Agriculture has been sub- divided and transferred to two private developers and, if so, who the beneficiaries are; and, (b) whether the sub-division was regular and who authorized it. view
