This is at the road barrier located at the Menengai Forest Station Office along the Crater Climb Road linking Nakuru Town and the crater. Although the crater can be accessed through four other roads, none of these has cess or entry fee collection points, since these roads are seldom used due to their poor condition.   • 19 May 2011 in National Assembly: (b) The KFS has a Road Unit, which maintains the roads within the forest reserves, funded from revenues accrued by KFS, of which gate collections form a component. In February this year, the KFS graded three kilometers of the Crater Climb Road. This will be extended to the remaining portion of the road and other safe roads in due course, depending on availability of funds. view
