Therefore, the House should allow me one week to get more information regarding this Question because the answer is very unsatisfactory. I have discussed this with the Member for Kuresoi and I think we concur. view

He started as a District Officer and he has risen to the rank of District Commissioner, and recently he was one of the people who were appointed as a County Commissioner. He has exemplary history of being a first class officer. We have no doubt whatsoever that he will be able to discharge his duties. view

(b) Yes, I am aware that the construction of the dam will destroy 1,186 hectares of indigineous forest and alter the carbon budget of the area thus negatively affecting Yala River and Yala Swamp, among others. (c) My Ministry has, indeed, objected to the construction of the proposed dam and has communicated to the Ministry of Regional Development Authorities. Perhaps, my colleague will have an answer to that. We were not interested and, therefore, we did not want to consider anything else. view
