  • 31 Jul 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, this is a very urgent matter and I think my colleague was here. However, I will inform her about this matter. Probably she can come back at the earliest opportunity in the afternoon of Tuesday, next week. view
  • 31 Jul 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I can have this matrix and pass it on to the Leader of Government Business who will then pass the information down to the Ministers concerned. Maybe he can give us some firm indication on Tuesday, when we open, on what he would have done with the matrix. view
  • 31 Jul 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I can confirm that we are listening very carefully. view
  • 28 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: I will be brief, Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady. First, parties are not something called political parties. Parties are serious institutions that we created in the Constitution and must be protected and regulated. That is the first thing. Secondly, if you decide to “grass hopp” please, do so within the rules because there are rules for grass hopping. If I want to belong to another party, I resign, I run in the party I like and I will become a Member of Parliament one more time. If I lose, I will try my luck in the next elections. Those are the ... view
  • 16 May 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to apologise for coming late and I have informed the hon. Member that I did not have a comprehensive answer because there were two different Questions asked by the same hon. Member and somehow my staff answered a different Question from the Question that is on the Order Paper. So, we have agreed that if you allowed us two weeks, we will come with a proper answer. view
  • 16 May 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, let me confirm that the registration is actually going on in Wajir South. What is not going on is intensification of that registration and I am going to take it upon myself to make sure that mobile registration is intensified and by the time we come back, I will give an update of what we have done. view
  • 15 May 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, there is a matter that has been outstanding in this House for a long time and I have been ordered to respond to it, I think five or six times, and I have not been able to respond to it. It is a short matter about a visitor who was not allowed to get into the country. Can I be allowed to respond to hon. Duale’s request briefly, so that I can get this out of my desk? view
  • 15 May 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Ministerial Statement that was sought was for me to explain why one Abu Amena Bilal Bradley Phillips was deported from this country. I want to respond briefly as follows:- The subject is a Jamaican national holding a Canadian passport No.BA542923. He had been declared prohibited immigrant in both the United Kingdom and United States of America (USA) for radicalising the Muslim youths. So, on 23rd February, 2012, the subject arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) from Qatar aboard Qatar Airways, flight No.QR533. He was denied entry on the advice of our security agencies. view
  • 15 May 2012 in National Assembly: On 24th February, 2012, the security agencies requested that the subject be put in the watch list for being a security threat to Kenya. The subject was, therefore, not deported as alleged but refused entry into Kenya. view
  • 15 May 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, hon. Duale should not use this Parliament as a political rally. This is not a matter for identity cards for Muslims. That is what I said. view
