  • 30 Mar 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. The hon. Member who spoke earlier misinformed the House because he referred to the Minister for Lands as having not given an answer and yet I am sure he was late. This is because the Minister for Lands gave an exhaustive and acceptable answer. To say that we are not ready to do our job is to miss the point. I am wondering why Question No.717 has been skipped when I am ready and willing to answer it. view
  • 30 Mar 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the hon. Member for Turkana Central may have received the Deputy Speaker and may have participated in the prayer but I do not know what happened after that because he did not seem to listen to the proceedings in the House. view
  • 30 Mar 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, maybe, you dropped that Question. I did not quite hear your ruling. view

  • 30 Mar 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I appreciate the patience you exercised towards this hon. • 24 Mar 2011 in National Assembly: I think I have given the hon. Member the answer in writing and so, maybe I will not need to repeat those figures again. A list showing the dates and number of identity cards issued is herewith attached. The inconsistency in figures between the number of applicants and the number of persons issued with identity cards is due to backlog of applications. view
  • 24 Mar 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I will oblige. The number of identity cards issued in 2007 was 1,834; in 2008, they were 467; in 2009, they were 500; in 2010, they were 873 and in 2011, they were 177. This makes a total of 3,851. So, a list showing the dates and number of cards issued is herewith attached. The inconsistency in the figures between the number of applicants and the number of persons issued with cards is due to the backlog of applications.
