16 Feb 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir that is a genuine concern. I did not know that parents are not registered to have identity cards. A parent should be someone who is above 18 and, therefore, should have been registered a long time ago. However, if there are parents who applied for registration much later and have not received them because our identity cards production is low, we can consider that window and assist.

16 Feb 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, we have already said that, that is just a rush because Kenyans always come rushing. Our officers are normally very idle during the whole year until the time when examinations or new admissions are taking place. We are using this platform to tell them that they should register their children during the year. They should register a child whenever a birth occurs so that, when the certificate is required, you have it. However due to laxity in the character of Kenyans, if we keep on waiving and allowing them to get away and extending time, they ...

16 Feb 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, if I were to transfer them to another place, they will carry the same corruption to the other place. Those allegations are not sufficient. I think my brother should do something more. He should report them to the police and have them arrested. However, I want you to bear with me. Nakuru is a very large station. It was one district. It is also a city. Most of the births that have occurred in the larger Nakuru have their records stored in Nakuru. So, we have a huge bulk of records there and the work is ...

10 Feb 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, thank you for this opportunity. First and foremost, we have run the Judiciary for the last almost 50 years without a Judicial Service Act. We have run the Judiciary without rules on how to manage it. We have run the Judiciary on the whims of whoever is chosen by some luck to be the Chief Justice, and whoever has been chosen to be the Registrar. This has been done without any rules. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, it is a pity that we have done that. In fact, we are very lucky that we have ...

Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, for protecting me. I only said that, of course, we go through elections, which are transparent to get a President. However, if the Office of the President were to be filled by interviews---

16 Dec 2010 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, when I recently saw photographs of citizens of Sudan being registered somewhere in Kitale and praying for their country, I was encouraged. When we talk about the CPA, we actually want that peace to be comprehensive. We want that agreement to be respected. The only way we can determine whether that peace is comprehensive and that agreement has been accepted is by encouraging our brothers and sisters in Sudan to vote peacefully during the referendum. I want to thank my brother, the Chairman of the AMANI Forum for bringing this Motion to this House. For a ...

15 Dec 2010 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I do not want to challenge your ruling but on a matter of this nature, I would have expected a Member of Parliament to stand and seek by way of Motion that the House may adjourn so that we discuss some matter of national importance. As it is, nobody has moved a Motion that the Government should respond or make any Statement. It has come by way of suggesting that the Prime Minister should be here which you have already ruled on. Other than that, there is no other Motion before the House that should force ...
