  • 9 Oct 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, this Government has got the tendency of setting up commissions after commissions using public funds. You heard the Minister say that he has no intention, to either make the report public or to implement it. The delays of pensions are caused by the processing at the Office of the President, and not at the Directorate of Pensions, as the Assistant Minister would like us to believe. Could he confirm that the Act, as amended, is operational, and they are implementing it, so that pensions can be processed even before a retiree's last day in office? view
