Mr. Speaker, Sir, we have two SFPs. One is sponsored by the WFP, while the other one is called âhomegrownâ where the Government of Kenya and the Japanese Government provide money to schools so that they can buy food which is grown locally or from the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB).

Mr. Speaker, Sir, it is the wish of the Ministry of Education to bring more schools under this SFP, but the problem is lack of resources. We are, however, trying our level best to make sure that we bring all schools in the affected areas under this programme.

Mr. Speaker, Sir, I will repeat the same answer. I have said before that the Ministry is concerned about poverty and hunger that makes children drop out of school and prevent them from going to school despite the fact that we have free primary and secondary education. The Ministry, in collaboration with the developed partners, will try as much as possible to expand the Programme.
