It must come from the school management committee to the District Education Officer, who then forwards it to us. So, once we get that, I do not see the problem there.   • 26 May 2011 in National Assembly: (a) The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) transfers headteachers during the months of April, August and December, when the schools are closed. Mr. Alfred Ochiel, TSC No. 351827, the Principal of Thurdibuoro Secondary School in Nyakach District was transferred to Onjiko Secondary School as the headteacher with effect from 26th April, 2011. view
  • 26 May 2011 in National Assembly: (b) The transfer of Alfred Ochiel cannot be rescinded for the following reasons. He had been in Thurdibuoro for 17 years and risen through the ranks to the headship while in the same school. The TSC had identified him as a competent and performing head, hence the need to move him to a bigger and more challenging school in order to tap his potential. The transfer is also aimed at breaking the monotony of being in one station for too long. Consequently, the Commission will continue transferring heads of institutions in order to address emerging issues in school administration, help teachers advance in their careers and provide a conducive learning environment for students. view
