  • 12 Feb 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, I think it is not even clearer even though I do not want to go back to what hon. Millie Odhiambo has said. view
  • 12 Feb 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, I want to support the Motion because as per our numbers--- You know what is disturbing us is when the Press reports: “Throughout the year, these were the active Members of Parliament who took time to speak on behalf of their people.” Our constituents will not understand and that is why we have problems. I want to support this because of time so that a great number of us can speak. In spite of copying other democracies, I want us to nurture our own democracy so that all our constituents are on the same level. If we go ... view

  • 30 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I also want to join hon. Mohamed Diriye. This idea has come at the right time. It is a known fact that all over the world the key factor to development and growth of a country is education. Education should take priority in terms of funding. Even this Kshs 3,060 is very little. • 16 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. This Motion which I support very strongly has come at the right time. Indeed, students are the most affected especially the Form Four leavers. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, recently in my constituency, I came across students who have been admitted to join various universities. The main challenge they had was that, without identity cards, they would not get any assistance in the name of loans that the Government gives them. Indeed, in this country we do not know why issues are taken very slowly. On the issue of birth certificates --- ... view
  • 24 Apr 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I want to congratulate you for having been elected Deputy Speaker. I want to congratulate all of us who made to this Eleventh Parliament. I want to use this opportunity to thank the people of Chepalungu and the teachers of Bomet County for nurturing me to this position. I want to comment on the Presidential Address, and because of time, I want to be brief. In his Speech, His Excellency’s intention and agenda for the Government is well thought out. If I was the one, I would not have been able to write all the ... view
