  • 24 Jul 2007 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. This House consists of the elected representatives of the Kenyan people. The Chief Justice, fully-robed, and these three judges fully- robed, went to State House for the swearing-in ceremony. So, the cancellation could not have been by the Judiciary. It was by the Executive. Mr. Speaker, Sir, are you satisfied that this answer is not undermining the authority of the institution of Parliament? view
  • 24 Jul 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I was going to suggest, with respect, that the Committee on Administration of Justice and Legal Affairs be mandated by this House to investigate this matter including summoning the Registrar of the High Court. We are not interfering with the Judiciary. We should also summon the other individuals in the Executive, so that we can lay a report on the Table of this House. view
