From the outset, I would like to start by congratulating Dr. Ojiambo for bringing this very important Bill. I hope that this House will support it. It is important to note that this country has suffered loss in certain agreements and protocols with the outside world. On the outset, I would like to say that I concur with the tone set by the Leader of the Official Opposition that in this House, we should be more concerned with reconciliation. I was saying that, as leaders in this House, our first priority is to unite our country. We should not divide it along ethnic lines. I only said that the Commissioner of Police is very capable. Period! I also said that there are several other Kenyans in responsible positions who are performing their duties without caring about their ethnic backgrounds. They know that they are serving Kenyans. If Mr. ole Ntimama can have this kind of behaviour in the House, we are setting the wrong examples for new hon. Members.
