I support this.

I would like to agree with my colleagues that this is an industry that requires a lot of support from Government and, indeed, Parliament. That industry touches on several Ministries, for example, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Services. It is not a matter that can be addressed by one ...

and, perhaps, three other subsectors. That innovative approach to insurance has been supported by donors before. It is, therefore, an approach that can be adopted by this House. I would also like to relate this to the good report that was presented by the Departmental Committee on Health about the use of National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF). We need to encourage the boda boda riders to register with NHIF. This is an approach that we can use. Talking about the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, we realize that the roads as they are do not have a provision where boda ...
