  • 10 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker. I would like to thank the hon. Member for pointing that out. However, I support the Motion that I am very happy as the Chair of the Departmental Committee on Health to be included in this Committee. This tells us clearly that the Committee will not try to hide health matters behind this investigation. view

  • 10 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Having said that, I am concerned as other Members of Parliament that miraa, although it does not grow in my constituency, it is taken up to the most remote areas. I also know that there is one distributor who has hired almost 1,000 youths in my constituency. I think I also have a right to inform and acknowledge that miraa is taken to the most remote areas. I hope that I have responded to the Hon. Member’s point of order. view
