On a point of order, Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady. Can you be clear? Are you, therefore, saying that hon. Baiya is moving this amendment not as is written on the Order Paper, that is, “Notice is given that the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs---” Are you saying that this is his

20 Jun 2012 in National Assembly:
Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, yet again I would like to ask for the same clarification I sought earlier, whether Mr. Mututho is seeking to withdraw the amendments as an individual or as the Chairman of the Committee. In your earlier ruling, you said this is business of the House. I believe if you are going with that

13 Jun 2012 in National Assembly:
Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I beg to ask the Minister for Public Health and Sanitation the following Question by Private Notice. (a) Is the Minister aware that there is an outbreak of measles which has so far left six children dead in the country? (b) Why has the Government not issued an alert on the same? (c) Has the Ministry launched immunization programmes in the country?

13 Jun 2012 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to thank the Assistant Minister for his answer. However, does his answer emanate from “the Nairobi we Want Blue Print” that was done with the highest level of consultation by the former mayor, “Magic” Mwangi? One of his recommendations was to close certain roads within Nairobi during certain times to allow for hawking. As you are aware, there is no point of taking hawkers to areas where there are no customers.
