I would like to support this amendment and say that what is happening in the Kenya Airways is total fleecing of this country’s resources. The succession plan which was there for the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to exit and give room for the new CEO--- I think he was making good capital flight, because all this was happening under his watch.   • 5 Aug 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I also join my colleagues in supporting this Bill. It is very timely. I want to say that it is coming at the right time when we want to see the economy of this country moving forward. The creation of economic zones will create jobs for our citizens. It will also boost the economic power of our people. The creation of economic zones, and particularly, in areas from Nairobi all the way to Mombasa will give even the counties which fall under those economic zones economic boost. view

I support the Report of the Departmental Committee on Transport, Public Works and Housing on the consideration of the Protocol and operation of the SGR. At the outset, the SGR has come at a time when this country and the region require fast infrastructure in terms of transport.   • 29 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I rise to support this important amendment. The Attorney-General will be signing the contracts. It will be very important for the Attorney-General to look at mouth-watering contacts and contracts involving huge sums of money. Also the Cabinet Secretaries in charge of the particular Ministry should have a look at the contract documents. I therefore support. view

That would enable the procuring entity not to subject the process to retendering. So, if the second best would be given the opportunity that would be okay. So, I support. view

  • 23 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: overloading and maybe the extra weight is only 1,000 kilogrammes. Instead of being taken to court, they are detained and their minimal travelling allowance gets exhausted and that creates a lot of hardship for them. view
