  • 25 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: I thought the point of order was in respect of my contribution. I thought it was misplaced because no one was pointed out as not having a mask. Let me proceed with my contribution. view
  • 25 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: I was on the point of regulatory impact. This is a procedural aspect of streamlining the issue of tax payment to have efficiency in taxes. Everyone is aware that we have a problem of tax collection in this country. I believe, with these regulations, the Cabinet Secretary who is mandated with this aspect and responsibility of tax collection will achieve his targets and take care of all the issues, including the kind of issues that we have been raising in this House of the NG-CDF. view

  • 23 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for the opportunity to contribute to this Business Laws (Amendment) Bill. Let me start by thanking the Government, through the Leader of the Majority Party, for bringing what I would call an ideal omnibus Bill. This is because it touches on the very minor things that do not go to the content and substance of the Acts that are sought to be amended. Most of the cases that we find in these courts are usually matters that cost below Kshs 1 million. Going forward, after amending and fixing this period, it will be important to have a separate Magistrates Courts to deal with ... view
  • 1 Dec 2020 in National Assembly: For the record, I oppose the entire amendment even with the riding further amendment to it. That is because you cannot be a member of an institute which you have not qualified to be in. This is an institute of professionals. How then do you register to be a member of an institute when you are still learning and you have not become a member of that profession? This is premature and I oppose for the record. view
  • 1 Dec 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. For guidance of the Members, my amendments in Clause 7 are on Page 1228 on the Order Paper. view
  • 1 Dec 2020 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: view
