Rose Nyamunga Ogendo

A niece of the late Robert Ouko, she was interested in politics in 1992. She recalls how she realized where her fate was in 1990s, when she followed her family discussions on political developments in the country. She used to follow keenly political activists like Paul Muite and James Orengo since she had an interest in people’s rights and justice. She gained experience in developing a solid manifesto and campaign structure during the campaigns of her husband Eric Nyamunga, former Nyando MP. In her manifesto, she promised economic empowerment for the youth and women, adult education for women, mentorship for girls and sports opportunities in the county.

  • 13 Mar 2019 in Senate: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, right now the Government in place is a Jubilee Government. Corruption has never been devolved to county governments, it still remains with the national Government and that is the Jubilee Government. They must take care of all Kenyans not only in terms of security, but also development. Kenya is divided into two states; one for the people with wealth and another state for people without. On the issue of security, the policemen should be very sensitive because when you talk of security, in our homes alone, there is a lot of insecurity, for example, the way ... view

  • 13 Mar 2019 in Senate: Hon. Senators that brings us to the end of the debate on the Bill that is before the Senate. I would like to now call upon the Mover to reply. view
  • 13 Mar 2019 in Senate: Hon. Senators, even if we need to consult, it should be done in low tones because we are in the middle of a very important Bill. You may continue, Senator. view
