I am very happy to see we are in numbers. There are also the ones who are out there who are afraid to express themselves but they depend on women. Fifty two per cent of the voters who are most committed are women. I said that is not just about women. We will legislate on how to get the persons with disabilities, the youth and either gender depending on how it is going to happen. This Bill will be effective in 2022. It has a tenure of 20 years. We had 16 women in the last Parliament. We have 24 ...

Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I also rise to support the Petition by Hon. Korir. When I was listening to the Petitioner I heard around 1,000 households are affected and 60 per cent of the affected are women and children. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. As the leader has explained, I just want to be very clear. We just did not want unnecessary conflict. I was even consulting with Hon. (Dr.) Pukose here. When we say ‘medical practitioners’, we refer to doctors, nurses, clinical officers and anybody who is practising medicine. So, when we talked as a Committee and came up with the term “pharmaceutical practitioners”, we had still retained the definition of a pharmacist and the definition of a pharmaceutical technologist. So, we came up with the term “pharmaceutical practitioners” because both of them practice pharmacy. However, there ...
