  • 27 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I rise to oppose the Report by the Departmental Committee on Health. The Report is very good. I agree with everything including their findings and their visit to KNH. The only problem that I have with the Report is on the recommendations. Recommendation 245… view
  • 27 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you. Most obliged. I was just late and I thought I would make my point heard in the House before I proceed to do the other one. I do not know which one comes first. I stand guided. The Committee says that the board needs to be reconstituted. I do not agree with that because I find it quite extreme. We have become a society of mob lynching. We are talking about the entire board and management of KNH. I totally find it unfair. • 27 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: few successes from the KNH. A Member has just said that we bring about 100 people to KNH but only take about 20 back in coffins. That is a wrong statement; totally insensitive. This is an institution – the only one – that was working when all the doctors and nurses in this country were on strike last year. The KNH was the only one that was working not because they do not suffer as nurses and doctors, but because they found it in their heart that this is a huge hospital and the healthcare in this country would collapse ... view
  • 6 Dec 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I also take this opportunity on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Belgut to pass a message of condolences to the family of Hon. Nyenze following his demise. Personally, I did not know Hon. Nyenze, but from the Members who have spoken here today, I conclude that he must have been a great man. I wish his family God’s blessings at this time. view
  • 6 Dec 2017 in National Assembly: Secondly, I also take this opportunity on my own behalf and on behalf of my family to pass condolences to my immediate predecessor Hon. Eric Keter, the immediate former Member of Parliament for Belgut. I contested with him in the election in 2013. He beat me even though I was in a popular party, the United Republican Party (URP) where I had won the nominations while he was in KANU. Again in 2017, it was a rematch between the two of us. I trounced him, but that notwithstanding he was a great person. From history, he started as a teacher ... view
  • 6 Dec 2017 in National Assembly: I have been in touch with the family and I can reliably inform the people who knew him and Members of the Departmental Committee on Education, Research and Technology of the 11th Parliament that the family purposes to hold the funeral on 15th December 2017 because he has children who study and work abroad. Arrangements are being made to have them in the country. Those who will travel to Belgut Constituency next week on Friday 15th December 2017 are highly welcome. view
  • 6 Dec 2017 in National Assembly: I take this opportunity once again to say pole sana to the family of Hon. Eric Keter. Thank you very much. • 28 Oct 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me an opportunity to contribute to this important Motion by Hon. Victor Munyaka. There are very many guns in the hands of wrong people and many people have suffered as a result of these guns. Personally, I have been attacked twice by people with guns. I thank God for sparing my life. I support this Motion in the belief that the proposed system will work. Like my colleagues have said, I also have my doubts, but I am supporting the Motion in the belief that the system will work. A tracking system ... view
