  • 8 Apr 2025 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I also take this opportunity to condole with the people of Kajiado County. Hon. Teyiaa was a true description of the strength of a woman despite being abled differently. We were nominated at the same time in 2013 and served for five years. In 2017, she ran in Kajiado and was elected. She had the strength and passion to serve the people of Kajiado. She is what we can describe as a true powerhouse. May her soul rest in peace and perpetual light shine upon her. view
  • 12 Mar 2025 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. I also want to add my voice to the Budget Policy Statement (BPS). Many people have spoken about the inequalities in this country. We have to amplify our voices on the same. I say so because I, honestly, believe that the BPS before us is going to address the inequalities that have been witnessed in this country since time immemorial. Equity and inequality are two different things. When we come to this Parliament, we are told that money is allocated equally to all constituencies when we know very well that we are not equal. If ... view
  • 12 Mar 2025 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. Doldol is the Sub-County Headquarter for Laikipia North but, since Independence to date, there is no single tarmac road in that constituency. The only road that was launched in 2021 stalled. I truly believe we are not going to see a round of new projects being launched while we still have old projects like the Doldol-Nanyuki Road and the Rumuruti-Nanyuki Road which have stalled. Finally, we saw our intern doctors in the streets. We need doctors in this country. You and I do not have to fly to India or London to get attended to ... view

  • 18 Feb 2025 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I also join my colleagues in congratulating the former Prime Minister in his attempt to vie for the chairmanship of the AUC. I also sincerely thank the President of this nation, His Excellency William Samoei Ruto, for his statesmanship and patriotism. view
  • 18 Feb 2025 in National Assembly: Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga is a man to be remembered and celebrated for many things. If there is one person who has paid the price for democracy in this country, it is the Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga. He is so consistent to an extent that for more than 40 years, he is still standing for what he believes in. view
  • 18 Feb 2025 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. Truly, this would have been a win for Kenya. Even as the Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga comes back home, he comes back a winner. He is a man who has lived to his word. Many naysayers are castigating him because every time he loses an election, he works with whoever has won. There is nobody else in Africa who can do that. It is only the Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga. What is bedevilling our neighbouring countries is that people want to ‘win’ even when they have not won, and they would not care ... view
  • 18 Feb 2025 in National Assembly: misplaced because of egos and the fight for power. The Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga is one person who has proven that Kenya comes before everything else, even before himself. I implore upon this country that this is the time for our President and the Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga to lead this country to unity. I first got into politics through the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party. At some stage, I was the ODM Chairperson in Laikipia. Even the President was once an ODM member. I want to say that it is possible for Kenyans to work together regardless ... view
  • 27 Nov 2024 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. First, I rise to congratulate our former colleague, Hon. Rehema Jaldesa. She happens to be my neighbour because my constituency neighbours Isiolo County. I met Hon. Jaldesa way back before we came to this House. She has been a true reflection of a human rights and gender defender. I have no doubt that she will bring in new energy, having worked with other partners and non-governmental organisations. She can even fundraise to support the work of the Commission. However, as a Government, we cannot always be looking for funds from donors. It is incumbent upon ... view
