(2A) The appointment of the chairperson or members of the Board under subsection (1) (a), (d), (e), (f) and (g) shall take into account the gender, regional and other diversities of the people of Kenya. The amendment seeks to provide for consideration of gender parity, regional balance and other diversities since this is a constitutional requirement.
