18 Apr 2007 in National Assembly:
talking about some areas being "politically-correct" or not, knows that if Kenyans were to do a survey, they would find that his home district has a very big share of our roads' money. How many of the people there, including himself, are "politically-correct"? Let us serve the country as a whole, whether you are "politically-correct" or not. I do not understand this talk. To be "politically-correct" is to be Kenyan.

Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to repeat my assurance. I want to welcome the hon. Member to my office so that we can go into all those details. He should not avoid that office. It belongs to him as well. After all, I know him from the days when his dad used to help Kisiis to grow tea.

29 Mar 2007 in National Assembly:
On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. The hon. Member is not up to date. The project has already started. The consultant has completed the work and we are going to tender. The hon. Member should be embarrassed to stand here and talk about that road, when they never paid attention to it for 12 years! It is now that we are working on it!

Interesting enough, when I hear people saying that the old people are tired and they are unable to do this and that, I look at the person and I start wondering: Do you know that you are getting old every minute and that you are going in the same direction? Let us respect one another. We know that the younger generation have ...

27 Mar 2007 in National Assembly:
On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I think the hon. Member is misleading this House. If he were to drive on that particular road he is talking about, he will find a contractor there working on it. What else does he want?

7 Dec 2006 in National Assembly:
On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. Is it in order for the hon. Member to insult me by making allegations which are totally untrue? I am serving everybody in the country, and things that never used to happen are happening. I think the hon. Member is out of order because for the first time in the history of my public life, somebody is questioning my performance! Is he in order to do that?
