I have discussed with a number of Members who are likely to get out of the House in a short while. These Bills have been pending in the House for three sittings. We should vote on them since we have the numbers. view

  • 30 Sep 2015 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I am sorry, I meant the Senator for Kakamega who is a neighbour to Bungoma and my neighbour also. Did you notice that as he passionately attacked the Jubilee administration, he focused on Sen. Keter and I as if to suggest that we were the ones responsible for the closure of the schools? If you look at the public gallery, we have students from schools meaning schools are open. view

When the Senate resolved to establish this Committee, we saw a number of the Members of the National Assembly attempting to say that we were wrong as the Senate to establish it. I thank the Chairperson and the Committee for taking up this matter and ignoring some of the uninformed Members of the “lower House”. The Serjeant-at-Arms seemed not to have done the right thing by taking one delegation from our counties to the Speakers Gallery while the other one to the Public Gallery. The same issue appears to be recurring; that they did not take time to inform you about the students’ visit.
