  • 31 May 2022 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Speaker. On behalf of the people of Matungulu and the entire Kamba nation, we want to pass our condolences to the family of the late Hon. Kamoti of Rabai whom I have served with for two terms in this House. He was a very humble Member, down to earth and connecting to the people. At the same time, I want to pass my condolences to the people of Kajiado for the loss of our colleague, Mhe. Memusi, who lost his wife this morning through an accident too. It is a very trying moment. I urge ... view
  • 9 Feb 2022 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. First and foremost, I thank Hon. Martin Owino for bringing up this Bill. This is a very important Bill for this country and for the health workers in Kenya especially the community health workers. view
  • 9 Feb 2022 in National Assembly: We have to realise that there is a serious gap within the healthcare system caused by the missing link of community health workers. Community health workers play a very big role within the community. This Bill comes at a very hard time when health services have been devolved to the counties. It is very unfortunate to state it on record that not only Machakos County but also several other counties within Kenya have neglected these community health workers. It is high time we as Members and representatives of the people, and a House that is mandated to come up with ... view

These commodities must be factored in this year’s Budget. If we have the staff and the community health workers but we do not have the essential commodities like a bag, gloves, Panadols and the basics so that they can attend to any case, it is in vain. That must be provided by the Government and the county governments. It should be taken care of within the Budgets we make. So, this a holistic Bill which brings health in this country ... view
  • 16 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. On the same issue of Questions asked, we are getting a bit frustrated when we ask Questions and they are not responded to by the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government. The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor. view
  • 16 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, you know very well that I asked a Question on a boy in the name of Abubakar Muli who disappeared in Tala. You referred that Question to the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security, chaired by Hon. Mwathi. I appeared before the Committee where the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) was. She promised to give an answer within a week. It is quite unbecoming of this Ministry. I have been going to that Committee since that day to see whether they have responded. There is no response. The family is waiting for an answer on their lost one. ... view
  • 16 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, we are requesting your indulgence on the issue of the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government. view
  • 16 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Even if I give them a warning, it does not give justice to parents of lost ones. view
  • 16 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Yes, Hon. Speaker. view
  • 16 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, I have been elected to this House three times. So, I am not looking for bonga points. I am looking for the justice of the young man. view
