If we were any civilized nation, those people would have resigned by now. Instead, we have been subjected to seeing CS Matiang’i having catwalks all over the country opening dams and so on, in the last few days, and not addressing this serious security situation. • 9 Sep 2021 in Senate: Madam Temporary Speaker, we expect and hope to see them brought to order. We also hope to see order restored in Laikipia County. Laikipians are also Kenyans. My time is running out, but as I sit down, I was also shocked to see the Regional Commissioner, Mr. Natembeya, talking about the bandits having more heavy power weapons than the Government. That is very shameful. In fact, if that is the case, then we have a bigger problem than most of us probably anticipate or see. Sometimes I wonder if there is a bigger picture than what we see. • 7 Sep 2021 in Senate: On a serious note, I begin by eulogising my former Colleague, Sen. Prengei, who passed on while we were away on recess. This being the first Sitting since the incident, I wish to join by colleagues and quickly eulogise him as a great Senator, who was involved in fighting for minority rights, especially land rights. He worked hard and ensured his contributions towards the youth of this country were taken care of. Sen. Prengei was a very principled Senator.
