  • 3 Mar 2020 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, the National Assembly’s Departmental Committee on Health and the Senate’s Standing Committee on Health held a meeting today. However, regrettably, all the three Cabinet Secretaries – the Cabinet Secretaries responsible for Health, Interior and Coordination of National Government, and Transport Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development – did not personally appear but instead sent their representatives. In view of the important nature of the matter, the joint committee felt that the Cabinet Secretaries ought to have personally appeared before it to make the necessary responses.
