19 Oct 2010 in National Assembly:
Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I just rise to be on record as supporting this particular Schedule. I think it will provide guidelines to other committees which will be engaged in the vetting exercise but it ought to be very clear that it may very well give additional questions. Do we have some room where we could, depending on whatever, have some additional questions? In other words, this should be basic but the law should permit the committee to have additional questions put into the questionnaire depending on what is being applied for. I hope you are following what I am ...

13 Oct 2010 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to reply. (a) I am not aware that Mr. Cheborge A. Ngâeno is occupying plot No.15 in Chesinende Scheme while the title holder, Mr. Kibet A. Turgut is landless. According to the information from the Kericho Land Registry, Plot No.15 in Chesinende Scheme is registered in the name of Chepkwony A. Butere. The said parcel measures approximately 10 acres. Registration was done on 10th March, 1992 and no transfer has since been done. (b) The registered land owner, Mr. Chepkwony A. 5 Oct 2010 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, I am one of the people who have been calling for a quick establishment and constitution of this Committee. In fact, I said that the Attorney-General is ready and rearing to go, but we cannot go too fast because this Committee and the Commission have to be put in place. That is because regulation 4(b) of the Transitional and Consequential Positions, Sixth Schedule of the new Constitution reads:- âCo-ordinate with the Attorney-General---â One of the major purposes and aims of this Committee is to co-ordinate with the Attorney-General, the commission on the implementation of the Constitution and ...

5 Oct 2010 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want first of all to assure this House, that the Attorney-General will play his part with this Committee being established today to ensure the timely passage of the Bills by this House. In fact, I can see great impatience in the country and, whereas, the time schedules have been set out for the passage of the various legislations, it does appear to me that the people of Kenya want that to be accelerated. For example, the issue of the Provincial Administration and so on under the new Constitution, they have been given five years to readjust ...
