  • 9 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I wish that happens. view
  • 8 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. The Assistant Minister is saying that this programme is for the entire country or the 210 constituencies. However, I have been following this in my constituency and this only happened once in 2010 in Thika West District. What criteria has the Ministry used to spread this programme in the entire constituency because Juja is a very large constituency? This allocation is not being received. What is the criterion? This is discrimination. Could the Assistant Minister confirm that they are giving some people money and leaving others out? view
  • 7 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, if you look at the Question, you will see that, that road starts at Ruiru - and that is my constituency. There were no road works done in Ruiru on that road. The road is so bad that you need to drive in and out of a pothole. The road is not passable. Could the Assistant Minister undertake to come with us? Even if he does not have a GK vehicle, I will offer to take him in my new car! That is because it is a serious matter. I would like to take him so that ... view
  • 7 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I thank the Minister for a timely Statement. You will realise that this is the only Minister who has promised to give a Statement and given it today as promised. However, the Statement is very wanting because it is a matter of security of Kenyans and you heard the Minister state that it is a question of rivalry. He said that the gang went to the house of the deceased and informed him that they had gone to kill him. This is the case and yet the Minister says that there is no relationship between ... view
  • 7 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, you understand the gravity of this matter. The Minister casually suggests that warring parties should go to court when they are killing each other. From his statement, he is suggesting that people should go to court yet he says he is aware that these killings are as a result of rivalry between two parties. Why can the Minister not take the initiative as a security concern to make sure that the rivalry is sorted out and these two matatu operating groups are merged and live together? There is no one who is interested any more ... view
  • 2 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, could the Assistant Minister tell the House whether it is only in Nairobi where they are doing this. As I speak, permanent structures are being built on road reserves in Thika and Ruiru. What is the view
  • 2 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: policy of the Ministry? Could he undertake to visit Ruiru and Thika with me, so that I can point out to him all these structures on road reserves? view
  • 2 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Lands:- (a) whether he could indicate the entire land gazetted as Mwea Irrigation Scheme under the management of the National Irrigation Board (NIB) and table the relevant gazette notices; (b) whether he could also indicate which part of the land under the National Irrigation Board has been allocated to private developers and title deeds issued; and, (c) whether due process was followed during the issuance of those title deeds and whether he could also table the relevant documents. view
  • 2 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I have a registration index map bought from the Minister’s office indicating that the land that was reserved for staff quarters for the NIB staff has been allocated and over 100 title deeds given out. I would like to lay this on the Table. I also have a letter from the Director, Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI), Mwea, indicating the land that was supposed to be transferred to NIB. The letter is dated 12th February, 2012. It indicates that the land that was meant for settlement of people who were being displaced by the construction ... view
  • 2 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Could the Assistant Minister confirm that any title deed issued on this land is cancelled forthwith? view
